Senior Honor Day

Senior Honor Day took place last Thursday at The Ginn Academy. This year's class of graduating seniors is only the second in our history and the first which includes boys that started with us in 9th grade in 2007 and have been here for all four years of their high school education.

Seventy-six young men will graduate this coming weekend, taking $2.75 million in scholarships with them to universities ranging from California to Indiana to our own University of Akron and Cleveland State.

With so many photos of our accomplished students and their proud teachers, families, and friends, we don't need to say a lot about this day. We're confident that you can see for yourselves what graduation time means to all of us at The Ginn Academy.

In the following photo is George, an outstanding Ginn Man who won the Ted Ginn, Sr. Award for exemplary scholarship, leadership, and service.

Antwan (below) was the recipient of the Ted Ginn, Jr. Winning Against All Odds Award, presented by Mrs. Jeanette Ginn, wife of Ted Ginn, Sr. Antwan will take this with him to Ohio University, where he's also been awarded a football scholarship.

Keith (below), who you read about in an earlier post, won the CJ Matthews Award for scholarship, character, and skill.

The boys were also recognized by their teachers in each of our academic departments.

As you can imagine, there were some very proud parents at school that day!

If you think this is some great stuff, wait until you see the graduation photos next week! See you again soon.

With Kindest Regards from The Ginn Academy
